Students must be 3 years old by August 1st to be eligible.

 

Attendance Options:

• Half-day - 5 days/week, 7:30 am - 12:30 pm (class from 9:00 am to noon)

• Part-time - 3 days/week, 7:30 am - 5 pm (class from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm)

  • Attendance days must be consecutive

• Full-time - 5 days/week, 7:30 am - 5 pm (class from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm)

A funny thing hap­pens when our tiny humans become preschoolers: mean­ings of school begin to form, views of who they are as a learner develop, and they come to expect great things to hap­pen.   In the Reggio-inspired class­rooms of Rain­tree, the foun­da­tions laid in Nurs­ery give rise to remark­able ideas and fan­tas­tic deeds.

Ever since chil­dren have begun to leave tod­dler­hood for big-kidness, the preschool class at Rain­tree set the stage of inno­v­a­tive learn­ing, while build­ing the cre­ative capac­ity of every child.  Col­lab­o­ra­tive, long-term projects of the children’s devis­ing pro­duces stu­dents who can think crit­i­cally and cre­atively, com­mu­ni­cate effec­tively, col­lab­o­rate, and per­se­vere in the face of obsta­cles and aca­d­e­mic challenges.

Dur­ing this year of a child’s Rain­tree expe­ri­ence, young chil­dren will sew, a class­room econ­omy that intro­duces basic arith­metic, sci­ence in the gar­den, and the writ­ing of their first fic­tional sto­ries. Cre­ativ­ity, inde­pen­dence, and crit­i­cal think­ing are habits.  Those healthy habits are sparked to life here.
