Raintree School is an independent school in Town & Country, MO on eleven beautiful acres of woodland. As the first and only Reggio-inspired forest school in Missouri, Raintree School welcomes children ages 2 through 8 and their families from across the St. Louis metro area. Our school is open year - round, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm. Our model green campus features a community garden with chickens, green kitchen, natural playscape, prairie and woodland with a bubbling creek, art studio, and sunny classrooms with nature vistas.  These diverse environments enrich children’s inquiry, spark passionate pursuits, and deepen love and curiosity for the world around them.

Forest Schools continue to be created around the world by a diverse group of critical thinkers, adding to the broader debate about what educating children should look like. Raintree School maintains our support of nature-filled, place-based education with committed teachers dedicated to making nature-loving, proactive citizens a reality.

We are a community of dedicated, collaborative, and innovative educators focused on sharing our progressive, social-constructivist model. Ideal candidates possess a knowledge of early childhood development and are familiar with the Reggio Emilia Approach, Project-Based Learning, and Forest School.  Experience with Anti-Bias Anti-Racist teaching, Emergent Curriculum, Experiential Education, and Place-Based Learning are pillars that support our pedagogy.  This framework lives alongside our commitment to citizenship, personalized learning, and inquiry-based science. Members of Raintree's faculty hold certifications in early childhood and elementary education, as well as  and have advanced degrees in education.

Raintree School is committed to building a diverse and vibrant workplace that makes everyone feel seen, safe, and welcome. We know that different voices and experiences bring better ideas, more compassion, and a richer culture. We provide equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, national origin, age, disability status, veteran's status, sexual orientation, or any other identity.
