Sit, Watch, and Listen

We live in such a fast-paced world that our children sometimes struggle to slow down. At Raintree, we use Sit Spots to help us take an intentional moment to stop, look, and listen. Throughout the forest, the Cute but Dangerous Foxes have brought their journals to write and draw their observations. They write down what they hear, smell, and touch, and then draw what they see. Even when a, “Ms. Katy, I’m done!” rings out, I remind our friends to just sit, watch, and listen.
